Nate Diaz

Nathan Diaz
Nathan Diaz was born on April 16, 1985. Raised in Stockton, California, Nathan began training in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu at the age of 14 at the urging of his older brother Nick. He would later add boxing to his resume, winning Stockton’s Tough Man Competition. At 18, Nathan followed in Nick’s footsteps and began his MMA career. Thrust into the world of fighting, Nathan fought in some of the world’s top organizations, including Pancrase, the WEC, and Strikeforce before making his way into the UFC via the The Ultimate Fighter Show on Spike. There he would come out on top, defeating a field of 16 fighters. Fighting in the UFC, Diaz would go on to attain a record amount of bonuses for “fight of the night” or “submission of the night” honors.
His come from behind wins made him a fan favorite and he has never lost a 3rd round in the UFC. All of his losses in the organization had his opponents barely surviving a 3rd round, making it clear that he truly is the fighter that can only lose a decision due to the time running out. Diaz now competes at light weight and welter weight and is only getting better.
